Can enforced laws protect the environment? Is it alright for the government to at all regulate people’s use of the earth? Is it the government’s task to protect humans from harming other humans? Different people hold different views on the proper role of government. If you answered yes to all 3, then i would say, yes, environmentalism is a political issue.
